A graceful, arching, deciduous shrub honeysuckle, bearing lilac-pink, tubular flowers in spring and early summer and in scattered bursts throughout the season.
Flowers are sweetly, honeysuckle/ lilac -scented and followed by red berries in the autumn.
Leaves are delicate and an attractive grey-green.
Originally from China and Tibet and brought to Britain in the 1800's, this pretty shrub is surprisingly little-known despite being fully hardy and very easy to grow in any soil in any position (with the exception of deep shade).
Flowers are borne on previous years growth. Prune after the first flush of flowers to encourage bushier growth and more prolific flowering next year.
