Thymus serpyllum Russetings

Creeping Thyme

A fully hardy, evergreen creeping Thyme.

Its low, mat-forming habit makes it ideal for planting between paving, in gravel or generally for groundcover. It also works well planted in walls.

The trailing stems are finely hairy with dark green leaves and the whole plant is covered in pretty whorls of pinky mauve flowers in Summer.

A magnet for bees, all parts of the plant are aromatic and of course can be used to flavour soups, stews and meats.
