Filipendula rubra 'Venusta'

Pink Meadowsweet

Also known as Queen of the Prairies, Filipendula Venusta is like an Astilbe on steroids! Growing to 2m tall with jagged, palmate leaves and huge fluffy plumes of candy floss pink flowers from mid - late summer, this makes a stunning specimen plant and will provide real impact at the back of a moist border or in a bog garden.

Will grow in full sun in moist conditions but, in drier areas it is happier in part shade.

A vigorous, upright perennial with soft, fluffy clouds of deep, rose-pink flowers that fade to pale pink with age.

Will tolerate extremely boggy sites and heavy clay.

Rabbit resistant and an excellent cut flower.

Fully hardy.
