Also known as Bishop’s Wort, a pretty, long-lived perennial of meadows and open woodland forming stout clumps.

Pretty reddish-purple lipped flowers are held aloft on sturdy  spikes from June-Sept.

Happy in sun or part shade and will tolerate regular mowing making it a perfect choice for a flowering lawn or meadow.
