Wild Garlic

Allium ursinum 'Ramsons'

This wild allium is perfect for naturalising under trees where it will happily form a carpet of white flowers, even in deep shade.

Ideal too for the herb garden or for companion planting in the vegetable garden, as all parts of the plant are edible and can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol.

Broad, bright green leaves and dense heads of starry white flowers from May to June. The whole plant then dies right back in July allowing other, late Summer flowering plants to grow in exactly the same place.

Extremely tough and really hardy, Wild Garlic will tolerate very cold and exposed locations and is happy in part sun or full shade. Doesn't mind heavy clay or wet ground. Makes an excellent groundcover plant.

Has been shown to help repel moles.
